Antonin Bonafous — Freelance Senior Video Editor — London
I'm Antonin Bonafous, a senior video editor based in London — available as a freelance video editor in London and remotely worldwide. My work lives at the intersection of beauty, fashion and music — credits spanning Charlotte Tilbury, Nordstrom, FKA Twigs, Not3s, Saint Laurent and more.
I'm equally at home cutting branded content, social campaigns and commercial films, having worked with London agencies including JWT, McCann, Droga5 and Publicis. Whatever the format, I adapt — creativity is the constant, craft is the commitment, and the priority is always a sharp, purposeful edit that serves the story and the brief.
British and French, born in France and based in London since 2015, I'm a bilingual editor — moving easily between London and Paris productions, and collaborating fluently across English and French-speaking teams. Fully set up for remote post-production worldwide.
How I got here
I've been obsessed with editing since I was young — the craft of taking raw footage and finding the rhythm, the story, the feeling inside it. In 2015 I moved to London to build a career around it.
I trained the way a lot of the best editors do — by learning from one. Early on I came across the work of Matt Nee and it was exactly where I wanted my own to be. A short work-experience week turned into a role at Metal Edit, the studio he founded, working alongside editors like Emma Backman and Ben Canny. I also led the edit on a number of projects — including campaign work for Nordstrom and The Outnet (both directed by Charlotte Wales), FKA Twigs and Not3s. Ten years on, I cut beauty, fashion and music films for brands and artists worldwide.
