Freelance Video Editor London

Freelance Video Editor in London

Senior video editor with 10+ years' experience, specialising in beauty, fashion and music videos.

I'm Antonin Bonafous, a London-based freelance senior video editor working with beauty, fashion and music brands across the UK and worldwide. British and French, born in France and based in London since 2015, I work fluently across both English and French-speaking productions. Over the past decade I've cut campaigns and content for the likes of Charlotte Tilbury, FKA Twigs, Nordstrom, The Outnet, Not3s and Suspect OTB, and contributed as an editor on projects for Saint Laurent, Shiseido and Carolina Herrera, among others. I've worked with London agencies including JWT, McCann, Droga5 and Publicis.

I edit primarily in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, and I integrate AI tools into my workflow where they genuinely help. I use ElevenLabs regularly to design custom voices and craft voiceovers with the right tone and intonation — getting a performance exactly right without a re-record — which lets me deliver faster while keeping the craft intact.

How I got here

I've been obsessed with editing since I was young — the craft of taking raw footage and finding the rhythm, the story, the feeling inside it. In 2015 I moved to London to build a career around it.

I trained the way a lot of the best editors do — by learning from one. Early on I came across the work of Matt Nee and it was exactly where I wanted my own to be. A short work-experience week turned into a role at Metal Edit, the studio he founded, working alongside editors like Emma Backman and Ben Canny. I also led the edit on a number of projects — including campaign work for Nordstrom and The Outnet (both directed by Charlotte Wales), FKA Twigs and Not3s. Those years gave me a grounding in high-end commercial post-production that shapes everything I do now as a freelance video editor in London.

What I do

  • Beauty video editing — campaign films, product launches and social content for beauty brands
  • Fashion video editing — lookbooks, campaign films and seasonal content
  • Music video editing — narrative and performance edits for artists and labels
  • Branded & social content — platform-ready cuts for brands like LEGO and Pukka
  • Commercial films — work that carries a brand's tone from first frame to last

How I work

Most of my work is delivered remotely, with fast, secure file transfer and easy collaboration with producers and creative teams in any timezone. As a bilingual editor, I move easily between London and Paris productions and across English and French-speaking teams. Whatever the format, the priority is always a sharp, purposeful edit that serves the story and the brief.
